Didn’t think that the procedure would be so painful and unprepared for following outcome problems. I had opted for local anaesthetic as I don’t always recover well from generals but local didn’t freeze areas very well so felt everything. Would recommend anyone going through similar procedure to have a general anaesthetic. Following a bleed 2 further bandages were tightly applied. The area was extremely sore and when able to remove bandages it was obvious that they had caused a very large blood-blister approximately 5 inches long and an inch wide. This is still scared 5 weeks later. Also have lots of painful lumps which I do massage and hoping they will eventually go. – EH had endovenous ablation and avulsions
